Meet the Warriors – Graham Flaherty

ewrfcadminMeet the Warriors

Why did you join?

I played rugby when I was younger and always thought about going back to the sport at some stage in my life. I thought joining the warriors would be a great opportunity to do this while also getting to meet new people in the community.

What does being a Warrior mean to you?

Being a Warrior means being part of a team and getting to play a sport that I love.

What have you learned/gained since joining the Warriors?

I have learned that I am capable of pushing myself out of my comfort zone and in doing so have gained more confidence on the pitch. I’ve also met some great people along the way.

What has been your favourite moment/memory of being a Warrior?

My favourite moment so far has been coming back from injury to compete in the Hadrian Cup and winning it back in March. Going on tour with the team and taking part in my first LGBT rugby tournament was a great experience.

Any advice for aspiring Warriors?

If you’re thinking of joining just come down to training session. Thats what I did I never looked back.
